Porcari

Porcari located in the territory which once was Lake Bientina reach of today only in 1913, with the separation from the Municipality of sheds, creating a commune. The town was dominated in the past by families of Poggi and Porcaresi and was under the power of Lucca by 1209. The current modern village, situated in the church of St. Right from the white marble facade, even if there is a strong propensity tourism, we find many traces of its long past. The remains are found mainly in the area of pit Black, while other settlements built Etruscan and Roman, near Lake sixth.
